The Biliteracy Bridge Library was created from a gap identified through years of bilingual classroom practice: educators who wanted to use culturally sustaining texts couldn't efficiently find resources that were level-appropriate, thematically aligned, and instructionally ready — without hours of individual research. This platform bridges that gap, bringing together bilingual and bicultural texts and the instructional scaffolds teachers need to use them with purpose. At its core, it is about connection: connecting languages, connecting cultures, and helping students see themselves reflected in literacy experiences that matter.
The Biliteracy Bridge Library is evidence of independent program ideation, product development, and community-facing implementation. It required identifying a real gap in the multilingual education ecosystem, translating that gap into a navigable digital solution, and building it with educators as the end user.
